Jody Britton

JODY BRITTON, 60, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital. Jody was born on January 14, 1962 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Joseph Britton and Sandra (Carr) Warden. Jody worked at AMG Resource Corp – Strauss Industries, Benwood, WV. Many will remember Jody for enjoying the great outdoors always hunting and fishing; but most of all, for his devotion to his wife, Janie and his family. Jody was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Lynn Britton, married in 1996, a grandson, Westson Cunupp, four siblings, Rickey, Louie, Donna and Anthony “Butch”. Jody is survived by four children: Harold R. Hartung, Jody Britton II, Jesse Britton and Jolynn Britton, all of Wheeling, WV; two grandchildren, Kenzlee and Waylon Cunupp; three siblings: Cathryn O’Connor of Steubenville, OH, Joseph Britton of Wellsburg, WV and Diane “Dee Dee” Britton of Wheeling, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Saturday, November 26, 2022 until the time of the funeral service, at Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, with Eric Fithyan, Funeral Celebrant.
