PUBLIC NOTICE
The Brooke County Commissioners are seeking candidates to fill the Full-Time Brooke County Dog Warden at the pay rate of $ 17 .50 / Hr. The duties associated with the position consist of, but are not limited to, enforcing the laws of Brooke County and the State of West Virginia as they pertain to animals, including the care and control of animals. Initiates and attends court proceedings when necessary. Provides prompt and courteous responses for animal control services. Handles all types of domesticated and wild animals. Possesses the ability to handle aggressive animals during high-stress situations, and to predict their behavior based on their current actions.
Candidates must be able to work Monday thru Friday plus weekends, be able to lift 50 lbs.+, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check.
